An unusual name, presumably deriving from the former livestock auction mart behind it (a site now occupied by a Morrison's supermarket).

This museum is now long gone but contained this beautiful, workable Robey single cylinder undertype semi-portable steam engine - No. 49166, c1940. This was purchased by a private collector in the south-east and exhibited at the former Knowle Hill Rally. It was once on the front cover of Model Engineer magazine if I remember correctly. The owner passed on but I it remained with his wife and in store in the Knowle Hill area. It was subsequently auctioned and bought privately. it is now on loan to the Robey Trust at Tavistock and in 2018 is receiving major boiler work.

There is a duplex boiler feed pump mounted on the side of the boiler above the engine's own engine-driven feed pump.
