This museum is now long gone but contained this beautiful, workable Robey single cylinder undertype semi-portable steam engine - No. 49166, c1940. This was purchased by a private collector in the south-east and exhibited at the former Knowle Hill Rally. It was once on the front cover of Model Engineer magazine if I remember correctly. The owner passed on but I had heard it remained with his wife and in store in the Knowle Hill area. If anyone knows more please contact me via the site.
