Memorial garden at Winskill
Not a village war memorial as might appear at first glance. The memorial and garden are a tribute to one man - the inscription reads
"John William Watson who gave his life for King and Country in the Great War 1914-1918".

Somnolent sheep in field east of Winskill
Sheep can often be seen dozing in groups but generally on hot summer days; these animals were photographed in winter on a bright but cold morning.
Perhaps the silage had been well fermented!

Converted chapel in Hunsonby
The building was once Hunsonby Wesleyan Methodist Chapel; it was closed in 2001 and according to information on display, converted to residential use in 2002.
