College Gardens runs from the University Road to the Lisburn Road. Many of the large Victorian houses have now been converted to offices.

A gable window, immediately under the roof, of a house (now offices) in College Gardens. Probably the servant’s room in a street of large Victorian houses (note the number of chimneys) originally occupied mainly by professionals and directors.

Bench Mark, Belfast
Cut bench mark located on the wall around Methodist College on the Lisburn Road, close to the junction with College Gardens. It features on the 1970 OS map but not the 2007 edition so may have been discounted as a valid bench mark - it has been partially hidden by the raised level of tarmac on the pavement.
The mark is 16.56 metres above MSL.

Former Methodist College porter's lodge, Belfast (October 2017)
See Image (July 2010). Seven years later, the lodge, at 34 College Gardens, appears unchanged. There is the following application for planning permission (31 August 2017) “LA04/2017/2018/LBC Refurbishment of grade B listed gate lodge, proposed works; replacement windows, new kitchen and bathroom, new heating system and fireplaces, replacement roof to part of building and new vehicular access 34 College Gardens Malone Lower Belfast BT9 6BT”.
