Road at Screggagh near Fintona
Part of the Syonfin Hill climb that used to take place here. Hundreds of people would have attended this annual event held up until the mid 70's by Omagh Motor Club. It was sponsored by a leading cigarette company and I can remember good looking girls mingling amongst the crowds handing out free fags, possibly Players' No 6. All sorts of cars would have taken part including rally cars and racers and the course record was held by Tommy Reid driving a Brabham BT30 in a time of 46.10 sec.

Looks like reg 6817 MZ. The Tyrone Constitution reported that although it was sunny in the afternoon, there was rain earlier on and the road was slippery and the times were not as good as previous years. In this instance the time held by the course leader Tommy Reid wasn't beaten and he only managed to cover the course in 49.47 secs.
