Mary's Hair Salon, Omagh
Located in George’s Street, some time I must count the number of hair-dressers in this town, they must out-number the pubs.. It looks slightly different from the last time I passed by in March, 2006, see - Image]

"The Diamond", Omagh
Nearly every town has either a Diamond or Square; this view is looking east towards George’s Street. Coming up the hill on the left is Castle Street and approaching from the right is Church Street; The building in the distance is Omagh Courthouse, which has the distinction of being the only building in the town to face three streets, George’s Street, High Street and John Street

Information board, The Irish National Foresters, Omagh
The following text is included in the panel: The Irish National Foresters (INF) have had a long association with music in Omagh, particularly St. Eugene's Brass and Reed Band. Acknowledged as Ireland's first Showband, the Clipper Carlton Dance Band began their career in this venue in the 1950s. Over the years the INF has featured countless live music bands and performers. In earlier days, 'No Jitterbug' and 'No Jiving' signs were put up in the venue! Can you guess why? In the picture, attendees at a dance in the INF, do you know anyone in the image? View through opening, Sacred Heart Church, Omagh
Taken in 1967 looking down George’s Street. Beyond the town centre are Campsie Playing Fields. It was in the era of the SLR camera and I forgot to remove my gadget bag from the picture. The top of the wheel that the bell rope went round is in the lower part of the frame. It wasn't a great photo but the local paper must have been stuck for material and they published it then. The opening can be seen on the right hand spire about half way up Image]

Loading goods, George?s Street, Omagh
A large photo-copier machine from a nearby office is being loaded into a van owned by Asdon; the trolley is power assisted, but never the less, it requires careful handling. From my experience of working in an office environment, I know that most offices lease their equipment and take out service contracts for machines such as these -see http://www.asdongroup.com/
