Three former houses, originally part of Prospect Terrace, built at some time between 1868 and 1877, now offered for sale. The agent’s board advises “business unaffected”. This photograph appears as a matter of record only. I have no connection with any of the parties involved in the sale. Continue to

Nos 38&40 University Road, Belfast (September 2014)
A pair of Victorian semis, built before 1877 and listed as HB26/27/006, recently used by the Open University. They became an eyesore, with peeling paint, following the University’s move to other accommodation. Now looking exceptionally well after a spell hidden by plastic sheeting while the painters were at work. They sit between Mount Charles and University Street (right).

“Blackwell’s Bookshop, which has been supplying books for Queen’s students through its outlet in the Students’ Union since 2012, is on the move as part of the major reconstruction and rebuilding work on the Students’ Union site. The bookshop is relocating to 42 University Road as part of a major investment to become a permanent fixture at Queen's. The company boasts branches on over 30 university campuses across the UK and has been selling books at Oxford University since 1879” - Queen’s website on 3 August 2018.

6 Claremont Street, Belfast
This picture was amongst my grandfather's papers and is of him, probably his sister, and my aunt and uncle. My father is absent but from the sizes of his younger siblings I'd estimate this to have been taken about 1924/7.
The house remained in the family until about 1948 and may still have been lit by gas at this time. Now demolished and the site redeveloped.
