A mid-terrace house, possibly built in the 1870’s, currently vacant and offered for sale. Forlorn, fenced and derelict property at the corner of Magdala Street (left) and the Sandhurst Road. It might once have been Granville House, the home of one John Craig a maker of packing cases. The following planning permission (16 March 2016) applies “LA04/2015/1227/F Retention and restoration of façade and demolition of the building to the rear and erection of 15 apartments with access arrangements, parking, landscaping and associated site works 49-57 Fitzroy Avenue Belfast BT7 1HX”. This was previously a vacant site. The retained façades are on the left.

This links Fitzroy Avenue and University Street. The street junction on the left is that of Magdala Street.
