Loyalist Mural, Donegall Pass, Belfast [2]
Mural on a gable wall on the corner of Oak Way and Donegall Pass. This one celebrates William of Orange (King William III), a hero of unionists and loyalists and the man whom the Orange Order http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_Institution is named after.

Former School of Music, Belfast
Built in 1934, to a design by the Belfast Corporation architect RS Wilshere, as the McQuiston Memorial primary school, no 99 Donegall Pass became the Belfast School of Music in 1964. It (and premises on the other side of Donegall Pass) closed in the summer of 2009 when the School of Music moved to Fortwilliam. Now vacant and offered for sale as a “development opportunity”. The building is at the corner of Oak Street (left).

The Lindsay Street Arch depicting William III Prince of Orange
Painted on the house gable on the corner of Oak Street/Donegall Pass in 1989, and repainted in 2002, it depicts the Lindsay Street Orange Arch erected in 1964. The arch is topped by an open Bible and a Crown and bears the words "Cemented with Love". William, as convention decrees, is mounted on a majestic white steed and is shown crossing The Boyne.

Loyalist Mural, Donegall Pass, Belfast [3]
Another mural, this time on the corner of Apsley Street and Donegall Pass. This mural commemorates the 36th (Ulster) Division's battles in World War One. Made up largely of men from the newly formed Ulster Volunteer Force, the division suffered heavy casualties in the battle of the Somme where some 5500 men were killed or injured in the first two days of fighting.

A post-1960 building, at 72 Donegall Pass, constructed on a site once occupied by Lees Hyman and Lees Image It has the appearance of one designed by the old Belfast Corporation Architect’s Department.
