Boulevard alongside the River Bann, Portadown
The Bann Boulevard is the perfect place for a short walk or as a starting point for a much longer linear walk. The wide tarmac surface makes the path suitable for all users. The towpath is a shared use path and can be busy at times, however, cyclists should give way to pedestrians.

Plaque, New Bann Bridge. Portadown
During the construction of the widening of the Bann bridge in 2005, an air raid shelter was exposed and this plaque has been placed as a reminder of the shelter.

Thomas Hyde access cover, Portadown (1)
An access cover, close to the Bann, bearing the inscription “Thomas Hyde & Sons Ltd Portadown”. The company was a well-known building contractor which (to the best of my knowledge) passed into voluntary liquidation in 1977. Image shows part of the inscription.
