DOM Plaque, Long Tower RC Church
The following text is included, "D.O.M. Presented by the Members of the A.O.H. Irish American Alliance, Division 69 Dr Redmond O'Callagher, St Columb's Hall, Derry in Memory of their Patrol who died for the Faith, March 15th 1601"
Pilgrims sometimes ask: "So, what does D.O.M. mean?" Deo Optimo Maximo (To God, the best, the greatest).

Holy Water Font, Long Tower RC Church
The text reads, "Holy Water Font. Baptismal Font from Old Long Tower Church, 1812 - 1908. placed here to procure holy water in 1909. Restored during centenary celebrations 2008 - 2009 Re-commissioned on 9th August, 2008"

Tablet at St Columba's Stone
The following text is included on the tablet, "St Columba's Stone. Venerated from time immemorial in Derry, because of its traditionally Association with St Columba, this stone was on the 9th June 1897 removed from the street near St Columba's Well. where it had lain vertically on the roadway for centuries, and on the 9th June 1899, was solemnly enshrined in this Calvary, to which our Holy Father Leo XIII has been pleased to attach many indulgencies, both plenary and partial as recorded in 'Derry Columbcille'"

Free Derry
Located in the Bogside, it is one of the simplest wall murals, but must be the best known in Ulster. Tourists are now taken on conducted tours here and in Belfast.

St Columba's Church, Long Tower
The present church is built on the site of Roman Catholic worship which goes back as far as the 12th century. The current Long Tower Church began life in 1783 in a much smaller scale than seen today.
