Cottages on the Square at Cushendun
The village square has 7 two-storeyed terraced cottages with mansard roofs and Georgian windows. They were designed shortly before WWI for Ronald McNeill, Baron Cushendun, by the Welsh architect Clough Williams Ellis. Clough is an Anglicised form of the medieval aristocratic name Clwch. These cottages are now used as tea rooms and craft shops.
