Full house - CSD April 1994
A very cluttered scene at Central Services Depot - from left, a permanent way bogie wagon is outside the former BCDR smithy, then MV 108 (ex-CIE 230), what may be former "Enterprise" DBSO 811 converted to 80-class DTBS 754 in 1988, an unidentified "Enterprise" BFX and 80-class DMBSO No. 86 in Translink corporate colours. All locations are approximate as this site is now under the M3 motorway/cross-harbour link.

Queen's Quay station - station to Ballymacarrett Junction (6)
An MED set approaches Queen's Quay station - running through the carriage wash as that was the only line in use on the last day. At right background can be seen the footbridge to the Harland and Wolff shipyards with the Sydenham by-pass road bridge beyond. The derelict building at left was the former BCDR locomotive shed - unused since 1954 (at least). For "last day" views at Ballymacarrett Junction, go to: Image] and Image] . All locations are approximate as this site is now under the M3 motorway/cross-harbour link.

Queen's Quay station - station to Ballymacarrett Junction (4)
An MED set is pulling away from Queen's Quay station with a service to Bangor - the white square at the bottom right of the MED cab was used by NIR as a basic form of tail lamp. Fitted with a red lens, this was illuminated at night by one of the MED headlamps. The BCDR workshops are at right while the new building at left is part of Central Services Depot. All locations are approximate as this site is now under the M3 motorway/cross-harbour link.

Built for Northern Ireland Railways' by BREL in 1970, the three 101 class diesel locomotives were relegated to menial duties after the arrival of three locomotives from General Motors USA in 1981/84. Note that the BCDR coaling stage has been demolished. All locations are approximate as this site is now under the M3 motorway/cross-harbour link.
