Houses for sale, Monkstown, Newtownabbey
Houses for sale on the Doagh Road. This style of advertising became quite common during the recession when new houses were very slow to sell. Recent media reports suggest that prices are rising after several years when they showed a substantial fall from their peak.

Concrete railway bridge, Monkstown/Mossley (1)
See Image (June 2013). The southern side of the same bridge, across a path leading from the Three Mile Water Park to the Old Carrick Road. The line between Monkstown and Mossley was rebuilt (this bridge is dated 1933) as part of the loop line contract http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/6235 and, to the best of my knowledge, replaced an accommodation crossing. Image shows the date of construction and Image the view from the northern side.

Railway arch, Mossley
The rather ugly concrete arch was built in 1933 when the Bleach Green viaducts at Whiteabbey, completed at the same time, enabled trains to bypass Greenisland where they formerly had to reverse thus improving the service to Derry. The path beneath the arch leads from the Three Mile Glen to the Old Carrickfergus Road and links up with the Ulster Way up to Woodburn Forest.
