Power-full landscape
An early-winter setting sun silhouettes the pylons on their inexorable march across the countryside to bring us the electricity without which our computers, I-pads and other can't-live-without gadgets would be just so much useless junk. Most people regard these necessary structures as eyesores. As a photographer I find them quiet striking in light like this with their own gaunt geometric sort of beauty. The eye of the beholder, I suppose.

The Old Coach Road, Mallusk (August 2017)
Part of a straight secondary road running from Templepatrick to Mallusk (behind me). The name might come from the route used by the old mail coaches before being replaced by the present Antrim Road, with which it runs parallel. See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/5502 (Hillsborough).
