An early-winter setting sun silhouettes the pylons on their inexorable march across the countryside to bring us the electricity without which our computers, I-pads and other can't-live-without gadgets would be just so much useless junk. Most people regard these necessary structures as eyesores. As a photographer I find them quiet striking in light like this with their own gaunt geometric sort of beauty. The eye of the beholder, I suppose.
