Air Well close to Silent Valley
Air well close to the Silent Valley. The Mourne Conduit pipeline passes underneath farmland here - there are several sets of BMC gates here as well which can be seen in the dry stone walls. The conduit continues to the south of the Head Road, hugging the 130m (400ft) contour until it crosses the Head Road again at Dunnywater and curves around the north-eastern slopes of the Mournes to the pumping station at Drinnahilly Image

Air Well close to Silent Valley
Air well close to the Silent Valley. The reservoir entrance is in the trees behind. This appears to be the first air well over the Mourne Conduit outside of the Silent Valley and the pipeline passes underneath farmland and crosses beneath the Head Road at this point - there are several sets of BMC gates here as well which can be seen in the dry stone walls. The conduit continues to the south of the Head Road, hugging the 130m (400ft) contour until it crosses the Head Road again at Dunnywater and curves around the north-eastern slopes of the Mournes to the pumping station at Drinnahilly Image
