Gambles Bridge over the Newry Canal
This is also known as the Crack Bridge. It has been suggested that the 'Crack' epithet comes not so much from the fractures in the bridge's structure - and there are some - but rather from the fact that this used to be a gathering place for in the inhabitants of the adjoining townlands for the exchange of 'craic' (news, gossip etc).
