This is also known as the Crack Bridge. It has been suggested that the 'Crack' epithet comes not so much from the fractures in the bridge's structure - and there are some - but rather from the fact that this used to be a gathering place for in the inhabitants of the adjoining townlands for the exchange of 'craic' (news, gossip etc). https://www.guidigo.com/Web/Newry-Canal-Towpath-Tour/UceboJcGknw/Stop/15/Gamble-s-Bridge#
