Flyover, Banbridge bypass (8)
This flyover carries the Banbridge - Castlewellan Road Image across the bypass to which there is no direct access. Traffic uses the Old Manse Road Image which joins the southbound lanes. Traffic going towards Belfast must cross the dual carriageway by a gap in the central reservation Image There was a vague suggestion (before “the cuts”) of a new connection to the Belfast-bound lanes (on the right) but it might need land acquisition.

The Ballydown Road, Banbridge (1)
The Ballydown Road is an unclassified road running from the Rathfriland Road, over Lindsay's Bridge, to the Castlewellan Road. The old Ballydown Bleachworks is partly hidden by the trees on the left. This was once a quiet country road but is now close to being absorbed by the town.
