Corbelled structure above the beach at Rossglass
This structure could easily be sold to American tourists as a genuine Celtic Saint cell. In fact, it, and the building on the left, are an extension of the farm yard across the road. The corbelled building is nothing more than a disused pig sty. Image

The Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea at Rossglass
Built on the site of a medieval church, this present chapel is of a number in the predominantly Roman Catholic Lecale Peninsula which date back to the last two decades of the eighteenth century. This was a time when Catholics were again allowed to build places of worship.

The cemetery of the Chapel of Our Lady The Star of the Sea
Some of the graves date back over 200 years, others in the top section are recent. A fairly common feature in graveyards in Northern Ireland, both Catholic and Protestant, are stones bearing the inscription "The burying ground of the .... Family of .....".
