The Great Survivor - The Europa Hotel
Bombed by the IRA on no less than 11 separate occasions, the Europa has survived as one of Europe's great hotels. President Clinton, himself a no mean survivor, chose this hotel as his base on two of his many his visits to Northern Ireland. Located in Great Victoria Street, the Europa stands next door to the Grand Opera House. Image

Hope Street, Belfast (2)
Hope Street originally ran from Sandy Row, across Gt Victoria Street, to Little Bruce Street. The section to Little Bruce Street Image is to the left of the red building. The remains of the part from Sandy Row (mostly replaced by the widened Bruce Street Image) is between the yellow van and the line of parked cars.
