Glenfield & Kennedy drinking fountain, Hilden (1)
A preserved Glenfield & Kennedy drinking fountain at Grand Street. In contrast to many this is well maintained and mounted in a purpose-laid tiled area. Image shows the monkey’s head motif. Image shows the maker’s name.

Hilden, Glemore and Lambeg War Memorial
The memorial is built of Portland stone and stands 13 feet 6 inches in height; there are 117 names on it. This was, appropriately, the day before remembrance Sunday - 100 years after the end of the First World War. Note the figure of the First World War soldier.
