Ragworts Galore!
The view from Windmill Hill over ragwort infested fields towards the southernmost extension of Portaferry (which consists mainly of estates of bungalows). Across the channel is the harbour of Strangford and in the upland in the distance is Slieve Croob.

Portaferry's Waterfront

Lifeboathouse, Portaferry
Portaferry lifeboat station opened in 1980 replacing Cloughey/Portavogie which closed in 1978. It operates an Atlantic 75-class inshore lifeboat “Blue Peter V” – the only ”Blue Peter” lifeboat in Ireland. Note added 18/8/08 - now demolished - see Image
