Lifeboathouse, Portaferry

Portaferry lifeboat station opened in 1980 replacing Cloughey/Portavogie which closed in 1978. It operates an Atlantic 75-class inshore lifeboat “Blue Peter V” – the only ”Blue Peter” lifeboat in Ireland. Note added 18/8/08 - now demolished - see Image
