See Image Daniel de la Cherois, a Huguenot who had been in the army of King William III, had a daughter, Marie Angelique, who married into the Montgomery family. She inherited the estate bequeathing it to her son (also Daniel). The family had a substantial vault in the church graveyard. This is part of one (of two) inscriptions on the vault.

See Image This headstone records the death of Guthrie McCosh who died in 1671. It is in very good condition given its age. The spelling is, however, a bit erratic.

Two historic lifeboats
On the left is the former Rother class lifeboat “Silver Jubilee” (built in 1977 and on station at Margate) and on the right is the former Oakley class boat “The Doctors” (built 1965 and on station at Anstruther). Both are under restoration. Note: photo on private property by invitation.

The Cannyreagh Road, Donaghadee (1)
The Cannyreagh Road runs from near the centre of Donaghadee towards Ballyhay. It is very narrow and (fortunately) does not have much traffic.

"School Gates" bus stop, Donaghadee
An appropriately-named bus stop, outside Donaghadee Primary School, on the Cannyreagh Road. Service 303A runs from Bangor to Donaghadee, four times daily (M/F only), via a circuitous route taking one hour.
