The Church of the Annunciation (CoI), on the Knocknagoney Road, was built, in a non-traditional, innovative style, in 1964 to serve the residents of the expanding suburb. Architect Desmond Hodges. Knocknagoney Community Garden, Belfast (December 2014)
Knocknagoney Community Garden, close the community centre and eastern end of Knocknagoney Park, opened in October 2013. The following is a quotation from a Belfast City Council press release dated 27 September 2013: “Belfast now has 13 community gardens, where local residents can grow vegetables, fruit, flowers, meet their neighbours, learn about the environment and enjoy a bit of craic.”
