The Ballymoney Road runs from Ballygrainey, on the Bangor-Belfast road to Craigantlet on the back road to Belfast, through prime undulating farmland. This is the view towards Craigantlet.

Whin bushes, Ballydavey near Bangor
After a slow start the whin bushes have finally produced their true colours albeit much later than usual. This clump is on the eastern side of the Ballymoney Road (at just over 300ft) and can be seen, in flower, in this shot Image taken in April 2012.

Much of the road, in this square, consists of a series of bends as it makes a gentle ascent towards Craigantlet. In this view, on the Bangor side of the Ballydavey Cottages, there is a distant view over Belfast Lough.
