Girdwood Community Hub, Belfast (August 2018)
Part of the redevelopment of the former Girdwood Barracks site (off Cliftonpark Avenue). “The Girdwood site in north Belfast has been transformed in to a state of the art shared space hub which offers first-class leisure, community and education facilities” - Belfast City Council website.
There are some very impressive playing fields (out of picture to the left).

Clifton Park Avenue Baptist church, Belfast (September 2014)
A Baptist church, on the north western side of Cliftonpark Avenue, built circa 1901/07 to a design by James Hanna. It seems to have been called a Baptist hall at the time of construction. Note the two spellings.

Chaim Herzog plaque, Belfast
A plaque, near the Cliftonville Road end of Cliftonpark Avenue, marking the birthplace of Chaim Herzog, sixth president of Israel. Three links – a biography http://www.zionism-israel.com/bio/Chaim_Herzog_biography.htm, a speech http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BxMvnWrmh0 and the plaque http://www.ulsterhistory.co.uk/chaimherzog.htm.
Very close to the edge of the grid square.

Site for social housing, Crumlin Road, Belfast (September 2014)
Vacant ground (once numbered, I think, 63-73) at the corner of the Crumlin Road (foreground) and Cliftonpark Avenue. The sign advises that it's the site for “High quality homes for the Lower Oldpark”. This photograph appears as a matter of geographical and historical record only. I have no connection with the Clanmill Housing Association.
