Clifton Park Avenue Baptist church, Belfast (September 2014)
A Baptist church, on the north western side of Cliftonpark Avenue, built circa 1901/07 to a design by James Hanna. It seems to have been called a Baptist hall at the time of construction. Note the two spellings.

Cell, Crumlin Road Gaol
Typical cell from the 1970s in the gaol. Originally the prison was built for around 500 inmates and each cell was designed to hold only one prisoner but, due to the 'Troubles', by the 1970s the prison population was around 1500 and some cells had 4 inmates.

Execution Cell, Crumlin Road Gaol
A total of 16 prisoners were executed at Crumlin Road Gaol between 1854 and 1961 http://www.crumlinroadgaol.com/executions.html . These took place in front of the prison until 1901 when this existing cell in C Wing was converted into an execution chamber. Apparently the rope is genuine. The bodies of the executed were buried inside the prison in unconsecrated ground and the graves were marked only with their initials and year of execution on the prison wall (although 2 of those were later exhumed and buried elsewhere).
