The Laganside Courthouse, Oxford Street
Opened in 2002 the courthouse houses both Crown Courts and Magistrates Courts. The complex includes 16 Courtrooms comprising 6 Crown Courts, 5 County Courts and 5 Magistrates Courts. The project was procured under the Government's Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative.

The Laganside Courts, Belfast
The Laganside Courts building, in Chichester Street Image opened in 2002 on the site of the old fire station (now in Ormeau Avenue). It houses the Crown Court and the Magistrates Courts for Belfast and Newtownabbey. The view is towards Oxford Street.

Bus gate, Belfast (2)
The new bus gate (explained in Image) at the southern end of this bus lane Image in Oxford Street. Officially the lane operates from 7am to 7pm Monday-Saturday but, in practice, since the gate’s lights are set at red it does not seem to be available to ordinary traffic, outside those hours.

The "Dreams" Mural on Lanyon Quay
The Oxford Street facade of a section of Lanyon Quay has a piece of public art called ‘Dreams’ by the Northern Ireland artist Rita Duffy. It is designed to hide a service yard which is accessed from Oxford Street. It consists of 40 aluminium panels, the centre ones depicting portraits of children being back lit at night. The word dreaming in many languages is written on the outer panels. The art work is designed to convey the spirit of children’s ability to dream.
