No 17 Donegall Street, Belfast
A disused warehouse and offices at the Waring Street end of Donegall Street. In the 1960’s and early 70’s this was the wholesale and retail base for “Easons”. The wholesale part moved to suburban premises more suited to articulated lorries. The shop moved to Ann Street and, later, to Donegall Place. Another move is planned – see Image Continue to Image

Window spikes, Belfast
There was a time when even the smallest of terrace houses had spikes on the window cills to keep the undesirables away. The windows of the former Belfast Bank and Assembly Rooms Image, at the corner of North Street and Donegall Street, have retained their commercial version.
