New Primark, Belfast - December 2018(1)
The new Primark, on the old Commonwealth House site, is due to open on 8 December 2018. Originally intended as an extension to the existing store, it will probably be a medium-term replacement pending reconstruction of the fire-damaged Bank Buildings (background - at the yellow crane).

Norwich Union House, Belfast - October 2019(3)
The view, east, along Castle Street. Back in the 1970’s Castle Street had a very unwelcoming feel among the black taxis, street vendors, alcohol-dependant and assorted undesirables taking advantage of the generally lawless and disorderly nature of the era. The looming mass of the building helped contribute to an air of foreboding. Part of the street is now used by those of no fixed abode for whom English is not a first language.

Commonwealth House, Belfast (2013-3)
The former main entrance. It looks a bit grim now after disuse, with graffiti and a closed shutter but it used to have a polished wooden door (the fire exit still has one Image) which looked quite impressive - in a dignified way.
