Formerly part of City of Bristol College until 2015, seen across Ashley Down Road. "Brunel House was the second of 5 large barrack-type orphanage buildings to be built from 1847 to 1870 by the Prussian-born pastor and philanthropist George Muller. Kennington Avenue, Bishopston, Bristol
The houses here are solid and probably Victorian. There are views from the back of these across a cricket pitch. Thoughtfully the powers that be planted trees along the boundary between the back gardens and the pitch so residents were not forced to see the games.

The complex, after conversion for Bristol College of Science and Technology, became part of City of Bristol College, and was called the Brunel Campus, now renamed the Ashley Down Campus. Two of the five huge blocks have been / are being converted to housing.
