Don't go any further
The public footpath runs alongside the farmer's field, then turns left through the gate and around the back of the cricket ground. If you go on here you will simply get rather muddy.

Beware of a lusty blow
The footpath from the main road runs past the boundaries of Flax Bourton cricket club. The notice further on warns walkers not to venture off the official path. One good whack over deep backward square and it might make good sense.

Coated lychgate
The entrance to the little cemetery on the main road near St Michael's and All Angels church is not looking too special. The road is the A370 and the wet weather of the winter, combined with the heavy traffic, has made the appearance rather grey and drab.
