The official footpath here has a stone to restrict access, but the road beside it is wide open to anything. Both lead to the gate at the end.

Farrington Gurney Methodist church
Coa-lmining forms a large part of the village's history. This church was founded in the early 1820s but this site was chosen in the 1880s for a new version. The land is part of the Duchy of Cornwall and is in the realm of the Manor House in the village. The new church cost £485, with a further £129 spent on the furnishings. As demand increased, it was enlarged and upgraded: a schoolroom was added in 1909; electric lighting in 1931; a new toilet and kitchen in 1971; and in 2012 work started to bring a new central heating system.
