Pollinator hotspot
A small sliver of grass bounded by the Wellsway is designated as a pollinator hotspot, despite being so close to the traffic. The board mentions that the South West in Bloom judges will be passing this way.

Keynsham Cricket Club pavilion
Keynsham C.C.'s history is a little piecemeal at the beginning, but there appears to be a formal organisation from 1920. Their website reveals: 'At first there was no permanent home ground, but following good work by an enterprising committee led by the chairman, Frank Taylor, the present field was purchased in 1927 for £1,500 on a mortgage at 5% guaranteed by trustees, who included the local GP, Dr Claude Harrison. A generous, if eccentric, man Claude Harrison later took over the mortgage and wrote it off on the declaration of war in 1939.'
The current pavilion was on a parcel of land, part of which was sold to developers and the funds used to build it in 1990. The club can boast Marcus Trescothick as a club member.
