School pinnacles
The provision of schools in the late nineteenth century tended to be somewhat ad hoc, according to the locality and funding. This school in Walliscote Road caters for primary children.

Weston-Super-Mare - Fireplace
This fireplace is in the middle of a carpark, handy on a chilly night I suppose.

Car parking suspended
For many years this was a useful car park, as was another just across the road next to Sands night club. However, both are now about to be developed into a multi-feature attraction; included will be a restaurant, cinema, bowling alley, retail outlets and (on this site) a 112-bed hotel. See Image] for another view.

A new place to park
The paint on the new car park in Carlton Street is still wet, but the style is clear. See Image] for another view.

No more parking
The Carlton Road car park served motorists for many years, but no longer. The local council has agreed plans to redevelop the site (and the Beach Road area just along the way) and so new opportunities are hoped to be gained. The plans include various 'high street' retail names, a cinema, a bowling alley, restaurants and a 112-bed hotel (see Image]). 'Scallys' pub appears to be left untouched. See Image] for another view.

New grille
The old car park in Carlton Street was rebuilt into a two-storey facility; this is the view out of the mesh that has been installed. Opposite is what used to be the old Dolphin Square centre.

No more car parking now
The former car park in Carlton Street has gone! A new venture is being built - a new car park! See Image] for a more complete view.

A new car park
The old one was only at ground level - this is definitely a multi-storey. Not sure if the charges are any higher though. See Image] for a previous look at the construction.

The prophecy concluded
A piece of art/graffiti by the multi-storey car park has fulfilled its destiny, given its pun. See Image] for a wider view.
