Gorilla on the roof, Manor Scrap Company, Bristol
The location is the corner of Feeder Road and Small Street. The sculpture on the roof of the scrap metal merchants is one of 61 life-size gorilla sculptures auctioned by Bristol Zoo Gardens in the autumn of 2011. The auction raised £427,300 for the Zoo’s gorilla projects and Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal which is raising funds for the cardiology unit at Bristol Children's Hospital.

2011 : Feeder Canal looking west
Toward the City Docks. Visited this spot in the late 1940's early 50's, in those days it was without fishermen, any worm cast into the canal would have jumped out again PDQ. At that time the cut contained so much industrial and human waste the poor worm would have been lucky to break the surface.
