The location is the corner of Feeder Road and Small Street. The sculpture on the roof of the scrap metal merchants is one of 61 life-size gorilla sculptures auctioned by Bristol Zoo Gardens in the autumn of 2011. The auction raised £427,300 for the Zoo’s gorilla projects and Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal which is raising funds for the cardiology unit at Bristol Children's Hospital.
