Parhelion at Cribbs Causeway
The parhelion is the bright patch of sky on the extreme left hand side of the image. The setting sun is at the right hand side of the image and the effect of the parhelion was accentuated by the fact the sun was obscured by clouds. There was a similar parhelion on the opposite side of the sun.
The road is the A4018 into bristol from the M5 at junction 17.

Brentry Lane
As the yellow markings indicate, this is the entrance to Brentry Primary School, and to a children's centre. The main road swings round to become Swanmoor Crescent; the right turn is Charlton Lane.

This MOT testing station belongs to Drive In Plus One and it offers an MOT test for £39.95. Meanwhile on the right a solar powered speed indication display shows that a motorist is exceeding the speed limit on the A4018 main road into the city centre.
