Ranging up the side of Fairfield Road, away from the camera, are the church hall (the plaque above the bench calling it the home of Christchurch's Sunday School, the carving over the door calling it the Lea Wilson Hall), the school, and Christchurch itself.

On the two projecting gable ends of the old school building is carved an extract from Psalm 102: here, "The children of thy servants shall continue and", continued a few yards up the road "and their seed shall stand fast in thy sight."
