Recreation area in old pit
This area is well below street level. In Victorian times there was a brick and tile works a little south of here, so the excavation must have been made for clay.

Shops at Widmore Green, BR1
This parade dates from 1908. Apart from these few shops in Widmore Road, and others at Southborough, Bickley remains entirely residential, almost completely devoid of shops, pubs and business premises.

Widmore Green Drinking Trough
Beside a small car park beside Plaistow Lane. It is a Grade II listed Granite cattle trough of the Metropolitan Drinking and Cattle Trough Association, erected 1904. This cattle trough, with human drinking fountain at one end and dog trough beneath.
