Charing Cross - Deal express in Chislehurst - Bickley complex, 1950
View NW on a Summer Saturday, towards Chislehurst and London on the ex-SER main line where it crosses and intersects with the ex-LCDR main line from London Victoria via Chatham to the Kent Coast - an ideal spot for 'Train-Watching'. The locomotive is Bulleid 'West Country' 4-6-2 No. 34096 'Trevone' (built 11/49, rebuilt 4/61, withdrawn 4/67 but not preserved). It is blasting away from a signal-check with cylinder-cocks open.
