Railway tracks near Bickley
This view from Clarence Road bridge is looking in the direction of Bickley station, which can be seen in the distance. Trains first ran over this line in 1858 when the West End of London & Crystal Palace Railway line from Crystal Palace was opened. Until 2007, Eurostars could be seen passing along here. The photograph shows what excellent wildlife corridors railways make, even through suburbia.

Looking east. Bickley railway station is in the London Borough of Bromley, between Bromley South and Swanley stations, on the main line from Victoria to Dover. The station was opened by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway (LCDR), originally by a line from Bromley on 7 July 1858. East of the station are the "Bickley Loops" which connect the ex-LCDR lines with those of the erstwhile South Eastern Railway.
