Valley Road
Viewed from its junction with Lewes Road and the only entrance into the Valley estate that was constructed during the 1960s. The foliage to the left hides the Valley Ponds a small open public space around a series of small ponds that originated from their time as brick fields.

Valley Ponds (2)
A series of ponds that lies at the entrance to the Valley estate. The field was called Pit Brook in Newhaven's 1841 tithe map and was used as brick fields during the rest of the 19th century. They were landscaped into the current public open space when the estate was built during the 1960s. See also Image
