A terrace of cottages on Beach Road dating from the late 19th century and very much a feature on the east side of the river where there is a mixture of residential, factories and businesses.

Beach Road
Mainly late 19th Century terraced housing on Beach Road, first marked on the 1899 25 inch map. However the section of four houses towards the far end of the terrace is more recent, built in the c.1980s, replacing a group of three houses that originally projected in front of the main terrace. In the background is the Clifton Road development of 74 apartments, completed in c.2023.

Newhaven & District Model Railway Club
The model railway club is housed in a former pub called "The Shades" Unfortunately the sign on the sign was recently stolen.

Newhaven Harbour Station
Opened in 1847 as Newhaven Wharf it was rebuilt in 1864 and toward the end of that century became the Harbour Hotel Station due to the close proximity of the London and Paris Hotel which lay to the immediate left of the station. When that was demolished in the mid 1950s the name changed again to Newhaven Harbour.

The approach by foot from Transit Road has a very down at heel appearance though i have a feeling that any foot passengers for the ferry now go via Newhaven Town.
