Conyboro
Built in 1867-69 by the Dodson family who also owned nearby Shelley's Folly. The original Conyboro was built further south in 1689 and burnt down in 1816, the park was acquired by the Dodsons in 1855. The house is currently a private school.

Greenwich Meridian at Conyboro School
This picture was taken standing on the Greenwich meridian looking South. The left half of the image is in the Eastern Hemisphere and the right is in the Western. The meridian passes straight through the middle, see this http://www.riddlerworld.co.uk/meridian/PG1447.htm for an alternate image with the meridian superimposed as a yellow line. The Meridian crosses the NE corner of the grounds of Conyboro School.

Old Cooksbridge
The original settlement of Cooksbridge before a newer one grew up around the railway station to the south. The cottages to the left are Forge Cottage and Wheelwrights which date back to the 18th century. The white weatherboarded shed is the former wheelwright's workshop. The lane is Deadmantree Hill a minor road that leaves the A275 next to the Rainbow Inn and heads towards Town Littleworth providing the parish boundary between Hamsey and Balcombe for much of the way.
