Lone pine and house on Shaves Wood Lane
This tree and house are at the point on the lane where tracks head east to Albourne Place Farm and west to Wick Farm. You can see primroses on the roadside bank - and further down the lane there were cuckoo flowers and lesser celandines. The day felt quite spring-like.

Modern house near Albourne Place Farm
I took this cross-grid telephoto shot from Shaves Wood Lane, in TQ2415. I like this house - it's unashamedly modern and makes a change from the kind of pastiche modern domestic architecture that you see, for example, in Poundbury - not that I have any great objection to the latter. (However I now see from Image that this house replaced an earlier cottage which, I suppose, might be sad if you remember the old place.)

Modern house near Albourne Estate
This striking and interesting house is called 'Mount Farm'. I believe it replaced an earlier house on this spot.
