The Droveway
The original road to Keymer which turned south at the junction with Lodge Hill Lane then west again to run along what is now the southern side of the cricket ground before rejoining the current route of the B2116 at the Keymer-Ditchling parish border. The road was straightened in the 1810s with this section becoming a drive for a couple of cottages and the route of a footpath, the section which ran west has totally disappeared.

Wings Place
Also known as Anne of Cleeves House though she never lived there being the beneficiary of land given to her that included the building as part of the divorce settlement. The timber framed exterior dates from the mid 16th century with older areas within. Viewed from the village green in an area around the foundations of a former barn.

Ditchling
The crossroads at the centre of Ditchling. South Street leads to Brighton via Clayton or Ditchling Beacon, West Street heads towards Keymer, High Street (to the right) goes north to Haywards Heath whilst Lewes Road where the picture was taken speaks for itself. The South Street/High Street route was the part of the original London-Brighton turnpike constructed in 1770. I believe the blue car is a Rolls Royce though I have no idea of make or model.
